I Love MTC Food I Love MTC Food I Love MTC Food

MTC is so weird.
I should say CTM because that's what its actually called. But it's like insanely difficult and super edifying at the same time. And by difficult I mean exhausting. I'm so tired. But I love working!

I feel like I have some good spiritual thoughts to share sometimes but a solid 80% of them are about the Cradle series. I can't talk about Cradle all the time for the sake of all those poor souls out there who haven't read it so I'll try to generalize it.
Basically, God does not choose "strong" or "great" men and women to become strong and great. The parallel to Cradle here is that, early on, a character with a critical deficiency is chosen by a Divine being to advance beyond his weakness; in fact, it is the desire to overcome his flaws which drives this character to be greater than he was. It's the exact same way with us: God chose Joseph Smith, an insignificant farmboy, to become one of the greatest Prophets of any dispensation. He gives us weaknesses precisely so that we may overcome them; who can know humility better than one who was once prideful? Who can know hope better than one who once despaired? Who can know faith better than one who was once afraid, charity better than one who once hated?

All trials are consecrated for our own good.

Anyways, the food at the CTM is difficult to stomach sometimes. I love my district; feels like I've known these lads and lasses for years and not like 4 weeks. I don't really have anything else to say cuz I'm totally zonked except that I'm struggling and tired, which is awesome because those things breed hunger and dependence on the Grace of God. I'm just gonna say I love my district again cuz its facts and for all of y'all who are reading this you're slaying the portuguese more than you know :)

God is good,

P.S. tune in next week for another segment of "Lawson uses fictional works to relate to the gospel". I'm thinking Kung Fu Panda.
