All The Love, All The Power

Whattup icebreathers,

Quote of the week(s):

"Getting attention from women almost makes me feel like I don't have to defeat other men in combat for my life to have meaning."
-one of the elders in my house, who shall remain nameless for his own protection

Well! Another week, another series of irresponsible decisions and email heading completely unrelated anything. I'm absolutely fiending through like 8 emails tonight so I decided to write a good old group email for everybody.

After all- this is one of the last chances I'm gonna get.

Don't let missionaries fry
Giving missionaries cooking equipment was a mistake. Last week we were bored and hungry- a dastardly combo if there ever was one- and so we decided to fry corn dogs.

They turned out mid. Brazillian sausage sucks, and is weirdly orange.

But the frying was good. And we had a ton of oil and batter left over.

-enter devious thoughts-

We ended up frying all of the following:
-dough, by itself
-wafers
-cookies
-a whole egg (still in the shell)

the deep fried egg sat in our fridge for like a week before we got rid of it

Temple Day
I fetching LOVE the temple, I LOVE the Endowment, it is literally the greatest thing on the earth

Like, I just feel so... joyful in the temple. It's like experiencing heaven on earth. Almost like... the four corners of the earth being the square around the circle which represents heaven. Or like the eternal round of all truth which is heaven because it is one which is a circle which is the shape made by a compass drawn on a map which directs us back to heaven and is also a circle like the ouroboros which is like eternal life and resurrection because snake shedding skin and also Moses with the brass serpent?

ecstasies and hermetic symbolism aside, I sincerely love the temple with all my heart, and I'm so glad I got to go again last week. I went with my boy Elder Nielson and we spent the whole time geeking out about temple symbolism and numerology.  it was lit.

Mission Tour - The Final Testimony
This week we had a mission tour- when a big fancy church leader comes and gives us a training. We had Elder Schmeil come, he's a dog and his training was lit. Other highlights: I got to see almost all the boys cuz like half the mission was there. And... I got to bear my last testimony

For those of you not in the know, each transfer we have a Zone Conference. And each Zone Conference, we have a little section where all the missionaries going home bear testimony about the mission and the gospel. Since this was my last 'Zone conference' I got my chance to go up. It was a sad moment. But I also felt great just giving a simple declaration of the things I really know to be true. I thought about where I was before my mission and where I'm at now... and suffice it to say that the Lord's grace has been present. Like, really freaking present.

I wanted to write a spiritual thought from the mission tour, but the 10h30 sleep reaper is gonna come take my soul if I don't comply with the missionary standards here in a few minutes... so that's it for this week. Next week, I'll hit yall with a good one.

Peace out

God is Good,
Elder Ebbert
