I Got A Dinosaur Egg From Burger King

Whattup Pachycephalosauruses,
This week was pretty normal. Adjusting to training instead of just... doing mission stuff. I found a pretty sweet chicken burger restaurant in the mall.

Invasion of the LZs
So literally the day after P-day we get a call in the morning that the LZs are gonna do a division with us in the same day. So that was kind of interesting. I spent the day with one Elder Müller, who actually served in this area a while back. I've heard some very interesting stories about him haha but he was super fun to work with and he also gave me like 8 references of awesome people he taught when he was here. We also looked into some genealogy stuff which led to me accidentally starting a lesson on plural marriage with a recent convert so that was pretty fun. We also ended the day with pizza, which also ended my 3 or 4 day pizza abstinence. Overall, pretty awesome day.

Vanessa!!
Vanessa got baptized this week! Although technically she didn't cuz she had something come up and couldn't make it to sacrament meeting to get confirmed, but its ok she'll just get confirmed next week. Her baptism was super awesome and she has been a string of miracles from beginning to end, so it was very satisfying to see her desires to get baptized realized.

Covenant Relationships
Sorry this is a very short email; this was basically just a normal week and I also think last week's poetry burnt out my writer brain cells. But we are gonna finish out with a spiritual thought here: covenants.

I think covenants are one of the best examples of the difference between the restored Church of Jesus Christ and... well, every other religious organization on the planet. Rather than vague or unspecified notions of the relationship between God and man, the restored truths of the Gospel teach us exactly about that relationship through knowledge about God's plan, and combined with the restored authority of God's Priesthood gives everyone an oppurtunity to have a deep, personal relationship with God through covenants. Thus, covenants become the culminating teaching of and one of the most important aspects of the restored gospel. I think this whole idea is best summed up in this BANGER conference talk from the most recent conference: Walking in Covenant Relationship with Christ. Through covenants, we can have personal, faith building experiences every single day, and have divine power in our lives. So the invitation this week: go watch that conference talk!

Well, a super short email this week. But regardless, I hope this was a great week for you all, and I bid you farewell until the next one!

God is Good,
Elder Ebbert
